A planning question, made practical

Give the next decision a date.

Use a personal review calendar alongside the planning seasons. Choose dates that fit your household and confirm any actual filing or benefit deadline with the responsible professional.

Four review conversations

  • Start of your planning year: review what changed in work, household, spending, beneficiaries, and document locations. Identify the decisions likely to need attention.
  • Before a major income or work event: assemble benefit and compensation records, replacement coverage information, and tax-payment questions.
  • Midway through your planning year: compare the current cash-flow outline with actual experience. Review open tasks and the people responsible.
  • Before year-end instructions: ask your professionals about applicable account, tax-payment, giving, and benefit matters early enough to gather information and implement any agreed action.

Choose your next review.

Events can matter more than seasons.

A move, job change, marriage, divorce, death, care need, business transaction, or change in benefits can call for a review before the next calendar reminder. This calendar does not calculate statutory deadlines or replace instructions from a government agency, employer, plan, or professional.

Create one reminder at a time.

Choose a review topic and a date. Download a calendar file and open it in the calendar application you use. The file contains a generic topic and a link to this page, not your financial information. It creates one all-day event, without a recurring schedule or an automatic email. Your calendar provider controls how an imported event is stored and displayed.
